Dedicated to the Poet's Desk Authors

Poets

There's nothing ordinary about a poet,
You are a different lot.
Writing sweet words to remind us,
Of  some things we've forgot.

My heart is warmed each day that comes,
When I read your words.
When I see the beautiful poems,
Oh, how my heart is stirred!

God gave each of you the gift,
To put your thoughts in word.
Some write in rhyme and some in prose,
Either is preferred.

Your poems may be of anything,
Whatever you desire.
But all reflect what is inside,
And that's what I admire.

You make me laugh and make me cry,
As feelings you do share.
Your words sometime affect me,
Like a breath of fresh air.

I consider each a special friend;
Our writings create a bond.
And through your words you touch my heart,
Of all I'm very fond!
