Christmas is coming very soon,
A time for joy and mirth.
Time to celebrate once again,
Our Savior Jesus’ birth!
Most are truly happy to see,
Holidays come once more.
Decorations pretty and bright,
Christmas wreaths on the door!
Yet, there are some that feel lonely,
Family visits may be few.
Everyone is busy it seems,
So many things to do.
They wait and think of Christmas' past,
Oh! how sweet they were.
Santa Clause and Christmas trees!
The household all astir!
They long to see their loved ones,
And hope it will be soon.
They think of happy times gone past,
When they hear a Christmas tune.
Maybe tomorrow they will come,
Dear Lord, please bring them home.
Oh, this would be the greatest gift,
That they have ever known!
